hello Beautiful people as the topic says i want to install IBM INFORMIX ODBC DRIVER 64 Bits version but i cant find it anywhere i even uninstalled my ibm informix odbc driver package from my pc and re-installed it again to check if i missed something to checkmark at the installation process, but even that i can only install the 32 bit version as the picture shows:
Informix 32 Bit Odbc Download
You'll answer some questions, click "I confirm" and then choose the top option (it's the top one today anyway, 64-bit Windows SDK). Click next and then click the download link. This installs the native 64-bit Informix driver--if successful you'll see an Informix-SDK folder under c:\program files in addition to the one you may already have under c:\program files (x86).
I'm working with a connection to Informix, having trouble with a DBLink from Toad, I noticed this error (ORA-28500: ORACLE connection to non-Oracle system returned this message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application IM014), I noticed that the driver is 32 bits (it says 32/64 but doesn't show in ODBC 64bits), I downloaded it from here: but seems that needs the 64 bits driver, because I have another DBLink to Teradata that is working but the driver is 32/64 bits and I configure it in ODBC 64bits.
Now I want to try the Informix connection with 64bits driver (IBM Informix ODBC Connector for 64-bits (for Windows)), but I couldn't find it anywhere, I found this but needs license: -informix so the real support requested is where to find and download IBM Informix ODBC Connector for 64-bits (for Windows), thanks in advance.
I am having quite an issue trying to create a linked server in SQL 2014 to Informix. I have downloaded the IBM Informix SDK 4.10 FC2. This allowed me to create a 32 bit ODBC in the 64 bit ODBC tool and I was able to register the ifxoledbc.dll with regsvr32. However, I cannot get the ifxoledbc provider to show up under Server Objects -> Linked Servers -> Providers nor am I able to get the 64 bit ODBC set up under 64 bit. Every time I try to set up a linked server to the 32 bit ODBC I get an architecture mismatch error which I expect. I don't care whether I use the ifxoledbc driver directly for the linked server setup or use an ODBC connection for the linked server setup. Either one will work for my purposes of reading from the Informix database, but I just can't seem to get past the 64 bit crap!
ODBC Data Source Administrator is different for 32bit and 64bit drivers.ODBC 64bit driver use c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe and for ODBC 32bit driver use c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
I can see the informix drivers when I use odbcad32.exe in %windir%/SysWOW64/ and have created an ODBC connection there. I cannot see them when I use odbcad32.exe in %windir%/System32. The Google machine says the error message I'm seeing comes when I've created the ODBC connection using the wrong ODBC administrator engine. I'm using the IBM Informix SDK 3.70.
I am trying to create a linked table in a 64-bit SQL Server to Informix, and the SQL server does not list Informix ODBC in the DSN list. I have downloaded the 64-bit Informix Client SDK, however, despite the fact that it states 64-bit Informix Client SDK, it only appears in the 32-bit ODBC DSN. I tried to create a linked table in a 32-bit SQL Server and I was then able to see Informix ODBC DDN.
There is no 'IBM Informix ODBC Driver' installation package to download. (if you know about an installation package URL you can contribute to the community by submitting the info to us through this message form)
The file odbc.ini in usually located /usr/local/etc/odbc.ini, /etc/odbc.ini, /etc/unixODBC/odbc.ini.If you have compiled unixODBC from source as described in the previous article, you will use /usr/local/etc/odbc.ini.
In my application, I am using SQL Server Reporting Services to pull data from the Informix DB. In the old 32-bit environment it worked pretty well. To connect to Informix from a Reporting Services Data Source I should be able to use either OLE DB or ODBC. After testing both from Reporting Services on the new 64-bit machine neither worked. So I figured I'd make an ODBC connection manually and test it in the Admin tool. I could not find the drivers listed in the ODBC Data Source Administrator tool. But then I found some posts about using the administrator from this location: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. So I figured I was on the right track. I used that tool, created the connection and tested it. It works. But still Reporting Services could not connect using that DSN, or even a fully figured ODBC connection string.
I also created a quick windows forms app to test with. From that app, I could not connect to the Informix database using OLE DB or ODBC. My guess is that the 64-bit OS doesn't know where to find the Informix 32-bit drivers that I am using. I can't find a download for the 64-bit drivers for Windows.
At this point, DbSchema already downloads the JDBC driver into this folders: C:\Users\YourUser\.DbSchema\drivers\Informix (Windows) or
/Users/YourUser/.DbSchema/drivers/Informix (Linux and MacOS).
Before trying to download a Gateway please refer to the certification matrix to make sure it is available for your platform and version.Oracle Gateway products can be downloaded from the following -
Choose the relevant platform and version then the 'See All' option.Under that there will be an option to download the Gateway products, for example -Oracle Database Gateways 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)Please note that only 11.2 versions of the Gateway products are available on Windows 64-bit. The earlier versions are not available on that platform. If this is the first install of a Gateway then it is recommended that you install the latest version - currently 11.2.0.4 - following the steps in Section 3 below. The 12c Gateways are also available on some platforms.
3. My Oracle Support - 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2The 11.2.0.4 version of the gateway is included in the Oracle Database patch set 13390677.Starting with the 11.2.0.2 patch set, Oracle Database patch sets are full installations of the Oracle Database software. This means that you do not need to install a 11.2.0.1 release of a gateway before installing the 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3 or 11.2.0.4 versions. The later versions can be installed in completely separate ORACLE_HOME directories from any existing installs. To download the latest 11.2.0.4 gateways -
- logon to My Oracle Support- go to Patches & Updates section- search for patch number 21419221 and your platform- you may need to press the '+' button to see the platform list- click on the patch number- from the download screen you only need to download the following for the gateways -
To work around this problem, use the appropriate version of the ODBC Administrator tool. If you build and then run an application as a 32-bit application on a 64-bit operating system, you must create the ODBC data source by using the ODBC Administrator tool in %windir%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. To indicate the type of DSN, you can add '_32' to the 32-bit user DSNs and '_64' to the 64-bit user DSNs.
If you can't connect to PostgreSQL, install the iODBC Driver Manager and then try connecting again. You can get the latest version (mxkozzz.dmg) from the iODBC.org website or download the file directly.
Denodo uses the PostgreSQL driver. If you don't have the PostgreSQL driver installed, follow these instructions to download and install the Linux 64-bit driver for Tableau Server. The PostgreSQL driver version you download is version 9.6.5, which currently doesn't work with Denodo. See the note below for alternatives.
After you install the driver, append the following section to the /etc/odbcinst.ini file (if it's not already there), using the correct information for your environment. For example, make sure the driver is located in the path specified.
